The Dead Sea and a comfortable hotel
Mujib chalets beach
We had a great night sleep. Nothing is really planned today other than getting to the Kempinski, which is 30min drive away.
The view from the bungalow is exceptional. We head for breakfast in the common room, which is a nice spread of Arabic mezze.
Alexis is tired and goes back to rest. I venture down the stairs to the beach below to get a first look at the Dead sea. The weather is really cold today, and the wind is uncomfortable.

Still, two courageous people are floating for all of 5min ( just enough time for the pictures ) before getting out and taking a quick shower.
I walk the edge and observe the salt crystals that form a crust on the big rocks. It’s quite pretty to look at.

At our next hotel, there is a beach and tomorrow the weather is said to be sunny. We will get our pictures there.
I make by way back up to the bungalow and relax as well on the terrasse. The view is really nice and with the right layer, it’s enjoyable to be outside.
Finally we get back into the car and start our short drive to the next hotel.
I have never stayed in a Kempinski before, this one has a huge spa complex. That’s why I picked it.
We are welcomed by a valet parking, and all the right services that you should expect from a 5 stars property. ( I never got that level of service in Asia, except at the Shangri La in Manilla once ). They upgraded us to a junior suite, which is pretty awesome !
The room is huge and extremely comfortable. Since the weather is not great today, we decide to take it easy and enjoy the room. Tomorrow we will make use of all the facilities.
Of the things that you need to be careful of: the food portions are huge ! We booked a half board for our stay, and everything we ordered was too big. We managed to barely finish everything. I think we will skip lunch tomorrow to be hungry enough for diner.
