I have lived in 4 countries now and moved three times within South East Asia. My husband and I are veteran of moves, as we changed, even in France, cities on average every two-three years since we are children. I am preparing my third move in SEA back to Kuala Lumpur and I put-up this checklist to ensure I didn’t forget anything - and I hope it will help you prepare as well.

I think French people are uniquely qualified to chose the right durian. After all we enjoy super smelly cheeses with some horrific smell too !

It’s Durian Season again ! The king of fruit is a delicious but very smelly stuff. It’s even forbidden in hotels and public spaces in many countries ! It’s that potent that the container you leave it in will need a serious number of wash before the smell gets away. It took me a while to appreciate this unique taste, and now I am starting to understand why the Asian crave it so much!

At the corner of my street there is, in the evening, that guy who dances in an oversize costume of a (creepy) little girl. I have called him chucky's sister !
