El Patio Sucre

Bus Company: El Mexicano ( Suite class - complete 180 degree flat seat )

Night: Colors House

Day 76

We wanted to go and visit Glorieta Castle today in the afternoon after our check out, but we found ourselves very lazy. For once the bar is not blasting music in the afternoon and there seems to be a big lull in the number of guests. We can enjoy the patio and balcony for ourselves with a good book and that is what we decide to do.

We go back to eat saltenas in El Patio for lunch, go for another great coffee at Coffee bike and enjoy the vibe of Sucre by wandering around the historical district again.

Time flies and we need to go for our overnight bus. The traffic is bad this night, and we struggle to find a taxi. We are a little stress and walk around the block in search of a street that’s not totally blocked and where we hope to get a taxi that’s empty.

We get lucky after 15min of trying and our taxi knows all the small streets to avoid the blocked one and we get reasonably on-time at the bus station.

We travel in suite class on El Mexicano, which at first, I thought would be a cama, like our travel from Uyuni and that had 160-degree inclinable seats – nope. Suite is the full flat bed with nobody behind you and it’s going to be very comfortable. We have 12hrs bus to La Paz.
