Rain, rain and more rain

Rain, rain and more rain

Day 221

The flight from Cancun to Madrid went surprisingly well. Alexis had a couple of hours sleep while I struggle more to find a comfortable position with my ear. Take off and Landing went well, and I could equalize with minor discomfort. That was a huge relief for me.
We went around all the hurricanes in the Atlantic – so it was a fairly smooth and uneventful flight. Air Europa offers basic services but for what we paid I would not complain, I don’t know why there are so many bad comments online.

In Madrid, we had a brunch in an iberico ham specialty shop, they were making sandwiches. Alexis was delighted! I got myself a salad because it is still painful to chew with my ear.

The weather outside is grey, and rainy – welcome back to Autumn !

This flight from Madrid to Paris was horrible. Because we flew through the storm and rain that was quite intense. I was seriously scared with the landing in Paris Orly. We went through a never-ending grey cloud and the wind was making the plane shake and being pushed around as we were decelerating. One of my scariest flights for sure. But we arrived with one hour delay in Paris. It’s night, cold and rainy. The storm is still around France. The RER B has some issues as well and every train is omnibus until the end. Luckily for us, we arrived and 5 min later so did the train.

My dad picked us up at the terminus and we finally made it home. We are quite tired but happy.

We will stay in France for a couple of weeks to rest, spend time with our families, manage some of our administrative matters that needs us in person. We also have to plan for the whole Africa part of our world tour which will occupy the next 6 months or so. The blog, Facebook and Instagram dailies will restart in about 1 month from this post.
