I am excited for my first trip to Sub-Sahara Africa ! We travel to Madagascar with Kenya Airways and the journey was smooth. ( almost worryingly so )

Our first flight through the Atlantic is uneventful, it's the last one to Paris Orly that is so bumpy, I got really scared !

We have the entire day to get to Cancun to catch our flight to Spain, then France. Bypassing at least 1 hurricane and another tropical storm in Europe.

I manage to get medical attention for my ear this morning. The weather isn't great and predictions are worse for tomorrow. We decide to get to the mainland earlier to avoid being stuck on the island.

I have a serious ear infection and today I am sitting diving out. I relax in the hotel and enjoy the hammock.

We have another wonderful day scuba diving in Cozumel. However, I start having a nasty ear infection in the evening.

Excellent scuba diving again. 3 cruise ships have arrived and our street goes from total desert to bursting with activities.

Incredible diving conditions today in Cozumel. A very gentle drift on a beautiful coral reef. It's been a while since we had such easy diving.

The only thing to do today is to take the 40min ferry to Cozumel, there is one every 30min. Cozumel is quite built up, with a lot of waterfront houses, condos and big hotels.

We have planned a rest day in Playa Del Carmen before going to Cozumel. I wanted to go to the beach, but it rained almost the entire day.
