Madagascar

Today we fly out of Madagascar to Johannesburg where we have a night of transit.

We stop at the Peyrieras reserve half way between Andasibe and Tana. I must have taken hundreds of chameleon pictures ! A great stop to discover endemic reptiles otherwise very hard to find.

Excellent day walking in the national park to see the Indri Indri, then the lemur island and we finish by a night walk in the community forest.

Antsirabe to Andasibe is LONG. We also got stuck behind a lot of struck, the road goes to Tamatavo and there is more traffic. It's a relief to finally arrive.

We have our first (and only) mechanical problem on this portion, then it's a smooth ride to Antsirabe, for a tasty diner at Le pousse-pousse restaurant !

The road offers great views of rice paddies. They are now fully planted and a vibrant green. We stop for a nice picnic under mangoe trees.

It's time to drive back to Tana. Today it's Tuléar to Ranohira - we stop for a small drink at the Isalo Window and a gem showroom in Ilakaka.

We drive from Ifaty to Tuléar, which is just 45min away. In-between, we visit a beautiful forest of Baobab, the Reniala reserve.

We spend a full day of lazy and in the afternoon we go on a zébu cart tour of Anakao village. It's pretty slow and quite fun.

I dive again today - and this time I managed to isolate the issue that got me panicked yesterday and all is well. The underwater scenery was nice.
